With a wide sandy beach and grassy areas, this is one of the most popular beaches during the summer. The picnic area invites you to spend some time together.
A bar, grills, toilets, showers, a first aid station and a floating and submersible amphibious chair are available to all users. Volunteers can be requested at least 48 to 72 hours in advance (72 hours in the case of weekends).
Due to the existence of a mini-hydroelectric plant (upstream), there may be an increase in flow in the late afternoon/early evening.
Whenever this happens, an audible alert is triggered and lifeguards initiate procedures to evacuate bathers.
The beach is about a 10-minute drive from Braga's historic center and is served by TUB lines 45 and 945 (which stop less than 300 meters away). There are bike racks available.
This beach has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2022 and the Accessible Beach Award since 2021.
It will be guarded by lifeguards between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. during the 2025 bathing season, which runs from June 14 to September 14.
