GNRation

Born as part of the European Youth Capital, a title Braga received in 2012, GNRation opened its doors to the public in 2013 with the aim of promoting and developing artistic activities and the digital arts. In a space where the National Republican Guard (GNR) building once stood, GNRation is synonymous with creativity, entrepreneurship, science, art, technology and culture, in an attempt to raise awareness and educate new, contemporary and cosmopolitan audiences.

With its iconic and unconventional façade, GNRation is a leisure venue with a concert hall, digital laboratory and art gallery. Its outdoor patio and blackbox allow it to host established and emerging names from the national and international music scene.
This building also functions as a business incubator, with the presence of Startup Braga, which allows GNRation to be the starting point for innovative and auspicious projects.
