An opportunity to take a trip back to the time of Jesus.
Around 800 participants bring to life an ancient and ever-new story. Covering around 30,000 m2 and with more than 90 scenes, the Priscos Nativity scene includes references to Egyptian, Jewish, Roman, Assyrian, Greek and Babylonian cultures.
There's no shortage of trades that existed in Jesus' time: blacksmiths forging and tempering iron, shoemakers mending broken sandals, sawyers chopping firewood, peasants organizing their work tools, weavers at the loom spinning yarn, potters molding clay, bakers kneading bread dough, among many other scenarios of the time, and, of course, the family of Nazareth being a family in the face of the shadows of their time...

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of cuisine available in the various houses of the "villages of the Jews and the Romans". They can taste "César's bread", "mead", "posca", roasted chestnuts, agua-pé, coffee in a pot, Jewish sweets, Roman bread, sour cherry, sweets from Rome and the famous "Abade de Priscos" pudding.
The Priscos Live Crib offers visitors four major shows: "The Jewish Wedding"; "The Procession of Light"; "The Trial" and "The Funeral". One of the biggest attractions of this Christmas event is the chance to come into contact with real animals. The real star of this nativity scene is the Grotto, which is more than 10 meters wide and features the biblical figures of Mary, Joseph, the Child Jesus, the cow and the donkey.
The constructions are made with the passion and experience of the inhabitants of Priscos, with the collaboration of inmates from Braga Prison, who offer their time, skills and abilities to relive the event that changed the history of the world.
