History
Founded in 1840, Paramentaria Vasconcelos, originally called José da Silva Pereira de Vasconcelos, had its first headquarters in Rua de Santa Margarida.
The book of honor includes illustrious visitors such as King Luís and Queen Maria Pia, King Carlos and Queen Amélia. Amélia, who praised the perfection of the vestments.
In 1910, the store was already set up in Rua do Souto, with seven looms working to manufacture vestments and silk fabrics for religious use. The factory's life went through crises and golden periods, conquering another market in the world of silks, that of decorative fabrics.
Even after its looms were shut down, the history of Paramentaria Vasconcelos continues. The chasubles, asperger's cloaks and palliums continue to be its articles of excellence.
