History
The City-Rio Restaurant was founded in 1966 by Amândio Pereira Barbosa de Faria and his wife Josefa Gomes Fernandes, a couple who had a great passion for regional and traditional Portuguese dishes. Known for its specialties, such as Bacalhau à City-Rio, and its generous portions at affordable prices, it has become a popular choice among the people of Braga.
To this day, the restaurant has maintained continuity in its operation, with the previous employee ensuring that all the characteristic elements of Minho cuisine are maintained. It has been carefully decorated and has tried to adapt to the new demands of demand by adapting the space and the quality of the products and services.
