Luís Borges Exhibition Gerês The Earth Speaks

Photographer Luís Borges invites us to visit the landscapes and culture of Gerês in this exhibition, which asks us to take a closer look at the region's rich toponymy. Through his photographs, we explore the places, rivers, mountains and villages that preserve names full of history and meaning. This selection of photographs serves as a celebration of the language spoken by ancient generations, reviving words and expressions that, with urbanization, tend to be forgotten. Visitors are invited on a journey time, rediscovering the roots of Gerês' identity and the poetic beauty of its language. This exhibition is part of MEMORAR - Cultural Mediation at the Braga Municipal Archive.
