Braga Open 2025 to be held at Braga Tennis Club from September 28th to October 5th
Another edition of the Braga Open is coming up, the ATP Challenger 75 that the The Portuguese Tennis Federation and the Braga Tennis Club are organizing the event for the seventh time. The event, which has the support of the Municipality of Braga, takes place between September 28 and October 5.
The tournament has three Portuguese players in the main draw:
Jaime Faria (115th, eighth national tennis player to reach the elite 100, when he was 87th)
Henrique Rocha (171st)
Frederico Ferreira Silva (242nd).
Also present will be defending champion Elmer Moller (115th) and finalist Daniel Galan (131st and former 56th). Spain's Carlos Taberner (103rd in the ATP rankings and former 83rd) tops the list, followed by compatriot Roberto Carballes Baena, 109th in the rankings (where he was once 49th), and Peru's Ignacio Buse (112th). Serbia's Dusan Lajovic (127th, formerly 23rd in the ATP), Brazilians Thiago Seyboth Wild (formerly 58th) and Thiago Monteiro (formerly 61st) and Italian Stefano Travaglia (formerly 60th) are other former top-100 players who will be in Braga.
With €91,250 in prize money, the Braga Open has established itself as one of the most prestigious tennis events in Portugal, bringing to the city some of the best emerging talents on the international circuit, as well as established players who find the tournament an opportunity to compete at the highest level. Over the course of a week, and as in previous years, the public will have the opportunity to watch intense and exciting matches. In addition to the sporting aspect, the Braga Open 2025 also reinforces the mission of promoting sport, boosting the city and projecting the territory internationally.
