Band formed by Gil Silva (vocalist and guitarist), Eduardo Silva (guitarist), João Araújo (drummer) and Renato Costa (bassist). The project was born in 2019 when Gil challenged João to play covers in bars, but they ended up developing the songs composed by the Silva brothers that were stored on Gil's cell phone. The name "TheVaults" (vaults) comes precisely from this idea of the songs stored in the "vault" of the cell phone.
They characterize themselves as a "relaxed band with a lot of creative freedom", with the aim of "provoking memories of the alt and indie rock of the millennium, giving it a simple, catchy and innovative twist". Their main inspirations are The Strokes, Oasis, QOTSA, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys and Ty Segall.
