The Memorial to Francisco Salgado Zenha, known as the "Silo of Memory", was inaugurated on April 25, 2014 and erected by Braga City Council to pay tribute to Salgado Zenha and mark the 40th anniversary of the April 25, 1974 revolution. It is located at the traffic circle in Praça Conselheiro Torres de Almeida.
Francisco de Almeida Salgado Zenha was a lawyer and politician from Braga. He was born on May 2, 1923 and died in Lisbon on November 1, 1993. Until April 25, Salgado Zenha was one of a small group of lawyers who stood out in the defense of political prisoners and participants in subversive activities. After 25 April, he became one of the main figures in the democratization process, serving as Minister of Justice in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Provisional Governments and Minister of Finance in the Sixth Provisional Government.

Designed by the Braga artist Alberto Vieira, the monument, made of stainless steel, was inspired by the shape of a silo, which evokes the idea of a reservoir and storage of memory. It consists of 40 overlapping rings that symbolize the 40 years, each of which is ordered by 25 elements that suggest books or documents, associated with knowledge, information and the archive. With a diameter of 4m and a height of 8m, the monument is supported by an interior structure of vertical props, held in place by rings. Next to the monument stands a plaque, made of the same material, depicting an illustration of Salgado Zenha and an inscription reading "FRANCISCO SALGADO ZENHA 1923-1993", followed by an informative text about the monument.
