Following in the footsteps of Leon de Rosmithal, Baron of Blatna, pilgrims will feel the weight of the centuries.
See more +The Via Mariana Luso-Galaica is a 382 km route, divided into 18 stages, which connects the Sanctuary of Sameiro, in Braga, to the Sanctuary of Muxía, near Santiago de Compostela.
Along the way, faith, heritage and nature intersect, while we also savor traditions, customs, legends, songs, picturesque places, villages, landscapes, stories of places and people.
Reception points are still scarce, so in many places it is necessary to resort to private tourist accommodation, which must be booked in advance.
The use of GPS is essential.
Via Mariana credentials are available at the Sameiro Tourist Office, as well as a Code of Conduct for pilgrims (with the right to a personalized credential and a certificate at the end of the journey).
