Doçaria de S. Vicente is a benchmark in Braga's pastry scene, remaining faithful to the original recipes, which date back to the end of the 18th century. Conventual sweets such as fidalguinhos, súplicos, massapães and viuvinhas are specialties of the house, along with the moletinhos de S. Vicente in the tradition of Braga.

History
In 1829, she opened a small sweet store in S. Vicente, but it was in 1897, with Antónia da Luz dos Santos and her sister, that the confectionery of S. Vicente began to assert itself with the recipes of the conventual and traditional confectionery of Braga. Memory has it that the two sisters took great care in the way they kept their recipes. Only age forced them to sell their confectionery to Avelino Morais Rocha and Fernando Oliveira Pereira, a partnership that lasted until 2001. From that year on, Fernando Oliveira Pereira and his three sons, Paulo, Daniel and José Alberto, took over the running of Doçaria de S. Vicente until 2019. Meanwhile, in 2006, the need for work led to a major intervention in the building. Doçaria de S. Vicente was given a new modern and functional space, especially in the factory, but all the references to the old confectionery were lost. Despite this, and the new management since 2019, Doçaria S. Vicente remains faithful to its traditional flavors.

Literary reference
"If we went to Doçaria de S. Vicente? We did. At the counter, there were two ladies with white hair and black clothes. They were former nuns' maids who, having inherited the convent recipes, sold them. The store was full. People were buying massapães, casadinhos, fidalgo cookies. We preferred levedos."
