Located at 78 Rua dos Chãos, Pastelaria Cabanelas is one of Braga's oldest pastry shops, a local reference for its traditional pastries, varied bakery and selection of light meals, combined with a cozy space and family atmosphere.
History
Founded in 1875 by João Iglesias Gouton, a Galician living in Lisbon who settled in Braga, under the name A Lisbonense. In 1927, the new owner, João Gonçalves Cabanelas, changed the name to Pastelaria Cabanelas.
Over the years, Pastelaria Cabanelas has become a meeting point for the inhabitants of Braga, offering sweets that combine traditional recipes with a modern twist.
