The store
Located at 77 Rua do Castelo, Torrefação Bracarense was founded in 1930 to sell coffees, teas, spices and other food products.
Today, Torrefação Bracarense offers a wide variety of foodstuffs, although the focus is still on freshly ground coffee and barley.

History
Founded in 1930, in the early days of its existence it was dedicated solely to blending and roasting coffees, many of them from exotic locations, creating unique aromas that spread throughout the city. Later, other foodstuffs were added to broaden the range of products on offer to customers.
In 1993, after undergoing some renovations, the store reopened its doors with a renovated and modern space, while preserving the classic atmosphere of yesteryear. Torrefação Bracarense is currently run by Luís Gonçalves, who keeps the original store open, with the coffee and barley blending and grinding machines in full working order.
