See more +Inaugurated in 1994 in an old farmhouse dating back to the late 19th century, the Mário Sequeira Gallery consists of three exhibition spaces, comprising a main house, a contemporary building and a sculpture park in the garden area, and has already hosted several renowned exhibitions.
With the main building designed by one of Braga's most renowned architects, Carvalho Araújo, Galeria Mário Sequeira has already had several nationally and internationally renowned exhibitions, such as Andy Warhol's solo show in Portugal, solo exhibitions by Richard Long, Franz West and Nan Goldin, as well as important group shows including artists such as Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Georg Baselitz, Tim Noble and Sue Webster and Gilbert&George.
The Duarte Sequeira Gallery opened in 2019, conceived as a space dedicated to fostering collaboration and promoting the work of contemporary artists.
Its mission is to support emerging and established artists, encouraging the development of their practices through a diverse exhibition program centered on research and artistic innovation.
