See more +In the Domingos Machado String Museum, you can admire the craftsman's personal collection of stringed instruments.
You can find string instruments from all over the world in the collection, as well as the most characteristic instruments of the region, such as cavaquinhos and violas braguesas. Some of these instruments are even rare, such as the 17th century viola de arco, the 18th century viola barroca and even a copy of an American dulcimer.
Inaugurated in September 1995, its uniqueness lies in the fact that all the cordophones on display were built by the craftsman himself, following the ancestral methods bequeathed to him by his father.
