Located on a hill on the urban outskirts of the city of Braga, it has developed organic and biodynamic farming, which allows it to present a range of high quality products.
The Vineyard
Based on granite soils and arranged in terraces along a slope favored by a microclimate, the vineyard has been producing D.O.C. wines called Vinhos Verdes since 2001. As a recent vineyard, it has already been awarded a silver medal at the 169th Festa dos Vinhos Verdes, organized by the Rotary Club of Vila Verde, in the Verde Tinto 2003 category, and an Honorable Mention in 2005.
A careful selection of noble grape varieties - Alvarinho and Avesso - for the whites, - Touriga Nacional - for the rosés, the application of natural processes of biological index of fertilization and nutrition of the soils, a careful monitoring of the preservation and phytosanitary treatment of the vineyards, plus a late harvest, with the aim of enhancing balanced levels of ripeness and acidity, have allowed harvests and the production of quality wines.
Wine cellar
The winery on the estate is organized in a modern way, with stainless steel equipment and a small laboratory, which allows for a careful monitoring and control process, through analysis, during and after the fermentation of the musts and bottle ageing. We organize tastings of our Cova da Raposa Vinho Verde wines, from the Alvarinho and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, duly accompanied by cheeses appropriate to the type of wine, as well as organic jams produced on the estate.
