Grand Festivities in Honor of Saint Gregory the Great - Maximinos

The Grandiose Festivities in Honor of Saint Gregory the Great are held annually on Easter Sunday at Monte de São Gregório in Maximinos. Originating more than six decades ago and recently revitalized, this celebration combines devotion to the saint with an engaging cultural programme.

For three days, the chapel grounds host religious moments, such as a solemn mass and procession, as well as traditional music shows, fado, folklore, regional cuisine and fireworks. Located on a viewpoint with privileged views over the city, the event offers an authentic experience of Braga's community life, in an atmosphere of celebration, tradition and hospitality.
