Pilgrimage of St. Mary Magdalene of Falperra - Nogueira

The Pilgrimage of Santa Maria Madalena da Falperra, which takes place at the end of July in conjunction with the Pilgrimage of Santa Marta da Falperra (Esporões) at the Falperra Sanctuary, on the border between Braga and Guimarães, is one of the most traditional and emblematic festivities in Minho. This pilgrimage brings together thousands of faithful and visitors in a celebration that combines a strong religious component, with various masses, including a mass presided over by the Archbishop of Braga, and cultural events typical of the region, such as the "desgarradas" and the sale of aromatic herbs.

The Sanctuary, classified as a National Monument, stands out for its baroque architecture and its privileged location in the hills, which offers a panoramic view over the city of Braga.
