Celebrated on the 5th Sunday of Lent, these solemnities stand out for their live staging of the Passion of Christ, bringing together hundreds of extras and attracting thousands of faithful and visitors.
The celebration begins with a Eucharist, followed by a procession through the streets of the parish, depicting key moments from the Passion, such as Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the Last Supper, the Garden of Olives, the surrender by Judas, Jesus' encounter with Mary, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. Each scene is performed by local extras, creating an atmosphere of great emotion and devotion.
