Solemnities of the Lord of the Steps - Real

Held during Lent, the Solemnities of the Lord of the Steps are one of the most important religious events in the city of Braga. The celebration includes intense moments such as the Stations of the Cross, the Procession of the Cross and the main Procession, with more than 300 extras staging the episodes of the Passion of Christ.

The highlight is the Sermon of the Encounter, where there is an emotional reunion between the processions of the Lord of the Steps and Our Lady of Sorrows. The entire local community is involved in the organization, which is supported by the council, the town hall and various institutions.

It is a deeply lived tradition, with great popular support, which reinforces the spirit of faith and cultural identity of the parish of Real.
