The Church of São Salvador de Figueiredo is a valuable testimony to the region's historical and architectural heritage and has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1978. Although its Romanesque origin has not been fully confirmed, the modillions on the side walls reveal its antiquity and connection to the medieval past.

The first historical reference dates back to 1113, in a donation made to the Cathedral of Braga by Paio Mendes and D. Gontina Mendes. Over the centuries, it was part of the town of Vimieiro and linked to the Benedictine convent of Salvador, which was transferred to Braga in the 16th century. Rebuilt in the 17th century and subject to successive alterations, the church still preserves fragments of the original construction, carefully reused in the walls.
