Church of São Tiago da Cividade

The Church of São Tiago da Cividade is one of Braga's oldest and most emblematic temples. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages, and it is already documented in the 11th century as the seat of an old parish in the city.

The current building was rebuilt in the 19th century, preserving the tradition and importance of the site over the centuries. Dedicated to St. James the Greater, the apostle of the roads and patron saint of pilgrims, the church maintains an atmosphere of serenity and authenticity, inviting contemplation and a connection with history.

Despite the various transformations, it remains a place of faith and memory, deeply rooted in Braga's religious and cultural identity.
