A departure from the clerical imagination, the Church of S. Jerónimo, built by Archbishop D. Rodrigo de Moura Teles in the first half of the 18th century, its main attraction is its interior, where you can see the Baroque carving and the main altarpiece (Joanine Baroque). The chancel of the church of São Francisco, built between 1570 and 1580 by Friar José de Santo António Vilaça, is in the Renaissance style and was moved from the Cathedral of Braga in 1739. Adjoining the church is the renowned Chapel of São Frutuoso and the Convent of S. Francisco.
