Roman inscription on the façade of the Cathedral

On the side of the Cathedral's west façade, next to the door, there is a granite block with a Roman inscription, which is currently very difficult to read due to the erosion of the stone.

The exact origin of this block is unknown, but its existence was already mentioned in the 18th century by Jerónimo Contador de Argote.
