With a 17th-century fountain in the center, crowned by a statue of Santa Bárbara that once belonged to the Convento dos Remédios, this garden, created in the 20th century, is one of the most beautiful spots in Braga. At the bottom of the garden, the high stone wall with battlements resembles a castle, giving the space a special beauty. However, this wall, erected at the end of the Middle Ages, is only a façade belonging to the Paço Episcopal Bracarense (also referred to as the Paço Arquiepiscopal or Paço Medieval de Braga).
