The Chapel of Santa Marta das Cortiças, located at the top of the hill of the same name, existed before the Muslim invasion and was rebuilt in 1520.
See more +Tread on and lived in by countless archbishops, the Paço Arquiepiscopal de Braga is one of the city's most emblematic monuments and, at the same time, one of the most closely linked to the city's history, from the Middle Ages to modern times. There were four major phases of the monument's construction, which are still clearly visible today. The main one, and the one with the greatest impact, is the Gothic one, conferred on Archbishops Gonçalo Pereira and Fernando da Guerra.
The building is now the Braga Public Library.
