Located in the city center of Braga, Parque da Ponte is one of the city's main urban parks, bringing together two distinct green spaces that combine nature, culture and leisure. The older outdoor area developed around the Chapel of São João and is today the central stage for the traditional São João festivities. This area is densely wooded and includes gardens, a pond, a bandstand, a cross, an open-air auditorium and a monument commemorating the 25th of April, a symbol of freedom and democracy.

Inside the park, the botanical richness stands out, with native species and specimens from various parts of the world, such as Oregon cedar, Sequoia, Alvarinho oak, Douglas fir, cedar, laurel, Buçaco cypress, cryptomeria and linden.

In the center is an artificial lake surrounded by a maintenance circuit. The park also has two playgrounds and various support facilities, including a video and play library (housed in the old municipal greenhouse), restaurant, bar, tables, water point and parking.
