Monte do Picoto stands out in the city of Braga as a green patch that culminates in the Cross. It is the largest Urban Park of Autochthonous Forest in Portugal: it is (re)forested exclusively with tree species
indigenous people throughout its approximately 23 hectares.

At the summit (298m above sea level) is the Cross, an exceptional 360⁰ viewpoint. Access is via a spiral walkway, along which the landscapes unfold. A network of paths suitable for walking, jogging, cycling and rollerblading runs through Picoto. There are several areas with picnic tables, as well as a drinking fountain near the Cross, on the southern slope, which precedes the fenced-in Dog Park, where there is another drinking fountain for dogs.

Next to the northern entrance to Picoto Park is the Adventure Park. This commercially operated space offers a range of sports, nature and adventure activities for all ages. It also has a bar with a terrace.
