See more +The Dr. Gonçalo Sampaio Costume Museum exhibits the ethnographic traditions of Baixo Minho, in particular the costumes of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with special emphasis on the musical instruments typical of popular festivals and the Capotilha costume.
On permanent display are the various 19th-century costumes collected in the district of Braga, differentiated according to the different geographical areas: Encosta costume, Ribeira costume, Valdeste costume, Sequeira costume or Capotilha or Vale do Cávado costume, the latter being the most characteristic costume of the city of Braga.
